Elmira Youth Court is a diversion program for youth to learn from their mistakes to avoid future involvement with Chemung County Family Court or higher courts in the future. Youth Court is comprised of youth including judges. The roles in Youth Court are Law Guardians, Facts Attorneys, Clerks Side Judges, and Head Judges.
